Guiding the Future of STEM Learning

Kari operationalizes innovation in science and technology and builds the business models that make it scale. She is known for seeing the problem beneath the problem, and her approach is rooted in design thinking: understand the people the work is meant to serve, find what is truly in the way, and build something that lasts. Leaders across life sciences and health systems have relied on her for clarity when the path from promising to proven isn't obvious.

Her perspective spans the full path a breakthrough must travel to reach people: the science itself, the data infrastructure beneath it, the governance that keeps it trustworthy, the policy and reimbursement decisions that determine whether it is paid for, and the operational realities of the clinics and hospitals where it has to work. That range was built over two decades bringing biologic therapies, precision diagnostics, and AI into real-world use, including the first new lupus treatment in more than 50 years. Most recently, as Executive Director of Strategy and Innovation at Premier, Inc., she advised more than 40 life sciences organizations and helped shape the company's work in health policy, real-world evidence, and AI data governance.

Kari trained as an occupational therapist, holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and lectures in the capstone program of NYU's MS in Health Law and Strategy. She was named one of the Charlotte Business Journal's Top 100 Innovators and received a 2024 NEXT Tech Award.
